This April 2009 set of photographs were taken at a surf competition in Lorne in Victoria, Australia. There were three events - surfing, races and rowing. At the end of the day all the oarsmen lined up for a minutes silence in respect of the people who lost their lives in the recent fires which had raged in the state.
